It's been so long since I've been there. I don't recall that church; I like the contrast. Where's the fudge? Rubber tomahawks? Moccasins? Horse droppings?

The church is an old Catholic one, counter-clockwise (east?) of town, with lots of historical artifacts & info. The other items are still there in abundance- though minimized when we were there, as it was after Fudgie season. I highly recommend you & Lindz spend a few nights on the island- very nice after the last ferry leaves for the day.

I love the one of the church...19mm lens and a red filter?

19mm lens but no filter- just a very white church and a clear blue sky.

Kathy and I have stayed a a B & B about a block or 2 from the church and actually went to a concert there with a brass quartet from the Lansing Symphiny. September is a great time because the tourists are gone and like Scott mentioned a quiet calm feel descends on the place after the last ferry leaves for the day.
